| Q: |
Do you handle small projects or only large ones? |
| A: |
We get just as excited about a small task as we do about the grandest projects because we realize they are equally important to you. Most of our long-term clients began with a need for a few graphics, a series of banner ads, or a script that needed fixing. We gladly take it on and give you our creative best.

| Q: |
Can we meet before work begins? |
| A: |
The more "digital" our society seems to get, the more we realize the importance of face-to-face contact in our business relationships. While a small project for a client in Chicago can't usually justify travel and accommodation expenses (they will appear on your invoice) when videoconferencing will often suffice, we will happily arrange a meeting with you so we can better get to know each other before we begin or at any point over the course of a project.

| Q: |
If I outsource to you rather than hiring in-house, won't I lose control of the creative process? |
| A: |
With every project we do, we want to do it "right" the first time. Intimate collaboration and frequent approvals at every turn ensure we're always on-track right up to completion. With Craig Richards Design, you get your objectives met on time and within budget without the ongoing employee-related overhead such as salary, office space, computer and other hardware, software, parking, vacation, healthcare, sickdays, 401k, signing bonus and, these days, warrants or equity in your company. Outsourcing to us offers clear advantages over increasing your payroll.
|
| Q: |
What is your hourly rate How do you invoice? |
| A: |
We offer a variety of billing structures tailored to your needs. Like most service providers, your invoice reflects the amount of our resources (including time) that we devoted to your account. To control costs, we and our clients avoid open-ended per-hour billing models. Rather, we prefer to provide you with an estimate and timeline that you approve before work begins. You pay a deposit (usually 50% of the estimate) and the balance upon completion.
For ongoing services such as site administration or consulting services, our clients pay a low monthly retainer fee (based on their needs) guaranteeing a maximum quantity of hours devoted to their account before being billed additionally. This helps you stabilize your monthly site-related expenses and ensures our availability even when we get very busy.
