BigSender Administrator Guide
BigSender's Administrator Controls
You can access BigSender's administrator controls only after you have successfully logged in or, if you have chosen the static IP Address Security Method, your administrator controls are always accessible from the computer matching the IP Address you set in the BigSender Configurator.
Once BigSender recognizes you as the administrator, a new row is added to the main menu (with the subscriber form) that begins with the prompt "admin" and is followed by a set of buttons including those reading "settings" and "compose," "clean," "gateways" and "compose."
Note that "add," "modify" and "remove" tasks that might normally result in activator request, confirmation and admin notification emails are suspended when performed by the logged-in administrator. If you want those action-triggered emails to be sent, first logout then perform those tasks.
Clicking on the "settings" button will take you to BigSender's Configurator which lets you define the rules for how BigSender will perform and can also set BigSender's "look and feel" for seamless integration into your website.
When you want to send a message, click on the "compose" button to prepare your message for broadcast and/or publishing to your archive.
If you have a new list of recipients and want to ensure BigSender's ability to use those records for sending emails to them, click on the "clean" button and BigSender will automatically scan each record for an invalid email address and will repair (if possible) or remove that record. When the scan is complete, you may click the "complete" button (only presented when your list had errors) and BigSender will instantly create a backup of your original list and will from that time forward, use your newly cleaned list.
To manage more than one list with BigSender, click on the "gateways" button. The resulting Gateway Manager will allow you to install new lists and, if desired, uninstall any list you no longer need. A BigSender Gateway is a separate application (with its own Configurator settings) that can be used to manage unique recipient lists, all powered by your single licensed installation of BigSender.
