BigSender Administrator Guide
Testing Your Message
Before broadcasting your message, BigSender provides you with an option to send a "test" message to the email address you set in the Configurator as the "test email" address. After receiving and checking it over, you'll be able to proceed to the "broadcast" with greater confidence that your email is just the way you want it.
Before any email is sent, whether you click the "send" or "test" button, BigSender will automatically perform text conversion (from plain text to HTML text) if you have checked the "html" checkbox and the HTML Composer window is empty.
BigSender will always perform text conversion (HTML text to plain text) if the plain text Composer window is empty. That way, your recipients who have email software that cannot render rich text messages will still be able to read BigSender's unique hybrid messages.
Once BigSender has completed the text conversion, the Composer will again be presented to you with the result of that conversion. After checking it over and making any desired modifications, you may click the "test" button again and your message will be sent. The resulting page will confirm the test message was sent and will display the content of your message.
Tip: To publish a message to your archive without first broadcasting it to your recipient list, simply send a "test" message and click the "archive" button.
Click your browser's "back" button to return to the Composer, make any desired modifications (based on the test message you received). If desired, click the "archive" checkbox to automatically publish your message in the Message Archive. Then click "send" to broadcast you message to your entire recipient list.
